Structure of the Conference:

Each Week will run Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM Pacific to 12:00 PM Pacific. The last session on each Thursday will be a panel session where our speakers for the week have been invited to return for an open discussion based on your questions.

We will be utilizing Zoom Webinars, which means that by default all participants will be muted for the duration of the call. We will utilize Slido as a means of allowing the audience to ask questions of the presenter. More on that in the “How to ask questions” section.

Each meeting will start on time without exception.

Connecting to the Meetings:

If you have successfully registered for the conference, you will be able to see the information for each session by going to https://hpcpros.org/events (you have to be logged in to the website to see them).

You have the option of exporting all events as an ics format and importing them into your calendar for convenience sake.

Connect to the Zoom meeting a few minutes in advance. We will start each session on time!

How to ask questions:

The Zoom question / chat feature will not be monitored during the sessions. We will be exclusively using the Slido link to ask and vote on questions.

In the invite of each meeting are links to TWO Slido sessions. The first is the session specific Slido session where you can ask questions of the current presenter. You will notice that each question has an “upvote” button next to it. If someone has asked a question you think is interesting, be sure to upvote it. We will be addressing questions in upvote order during the Q&A session.

There is also a Slido link for the panel session at the end of the week. If you have a question that you think of during a particular speaker and you would like to ask the panel about it later, be sure to jot it down on the board now, lest you forget it.

Interacting during the conference:

There is also the HPC Pros Slack channel, which you can use during the conference to discuss. You can either choose an open forum such as the #compute channel, or the #storage channel or the #licensing channels, or you can direct message someone you already know. If you haven’t joined, you may use this link for the next 30 days to join:

Meeting recordings:

Meeting recordings will be made available on the HPC Pros website no later than the weekend after the conference. Recordings will be accessible for 12 months after the date of your registration. Conference recordings are only available to conference attendees and presenters.
